Apple announced the powerful professional Mac Studio with the M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips on August 25, 2026. The new model replaced the 2025 generation powered by the M4 Max and M3 Ultra processors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  5. Memory bandwidth<\/strong>. The base configuration provides up to 614GB\/s of unified memory bandwidth. The higher-end version delivers up to 1.2TB\/s, which is twice the bandwidth of its predecessor.<\/li>

The computer also supports third-generation hardware-accelerated ray tracing. Both Mac Studio versions are designed for demanding professional tasks, including graphics, 3D, and video editing. However, the higher-end configuration is better suited to particularly complex video workflows: it can simultaneously play back up to 33 streams of 8K ProRes 422 video at 30 fps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The device is also worth considering for AI researchers and developers. It supports frameworks such as Core AI and MLX for creating, running, and deploying AI models.
