In the fall of 2025, Apple released the innovative M5 chip. It is particularly powerful, designed with a focus on energy efficiency and artificial intelligence. The developers immediately presented the iPad Pro M5, so in this review, we have compiled the most important information about the new product: release date, processor features, and display characteristics.
Release Date and Sales Launch
The M5 chip and the device itself were released on October 15, 2025. iSpace has already launched official sales of the gadget in Georgia. The model is available in our brand stores in Tbilisi and other cities, and you can also place an order online. By the way, we have Apple Premium Partner status and offer only original equipment with a manufacturer’s warranty.

Technical Specifications and Configurations
The model is available in two sizes: 11 and 13 inches. The gadget has a recognizable design and remains the thinnest tablet in the brand’s lineup — the 13-inch model is only 5.1 mm thick.
The body is made of aluminum and comes in two colors: Space Black and Silver. Storage capacity ranges from 256 GB to 2 TB, and RAM from 12 to 16 GB.
Display
The Ultra Retina XDR display features ProMotion adaptive refresh rate technology, which automatically adjusts the refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz depending on the content. OLED improves screen brightness and color reproduction. The peak brightness level is 1600 nits for HDR content. The glass is glare-free and has an oleophobic coating that prevents fingerprints.
Incidentally, models with 1-2 TB configurations have nano-textured glass (these versions are slightly more expensive) — it creates a slight matte effect, does not spoil the image quality, and provides even better protection against glare. Light, reflections, and shadows look particularly realistic. The device is ideal for gaming, photo and video editing, creating design and architectural projects, and writing code.
Camera and Sound
The Apple iPad Pro M5 has a 12 MP wide-angle camera and adaptive True Tone flash. The LiDAR scanner accurately measures space and works with augmented reality and 3D scanning.
The 12MP front camera supports Center Stage technology, which automatically frames the image if you move and widens the viewing angle to fit everyone in during selfies. You can record video in 4K ProRes format with cinematic stabilization. The model has four speakers and studio-quality microphones — ideal for recording podcasts.
Network Capabilities, Power, and Battery
Bluetooth 6 and Wi-Fi 7 with an N1 chip and simultaneous support for two 2×2 MIMO bands are responsible for wireless connectivity. These technologies ensure high-speed transfer of photos, documents, and large files. The model also supports 5G, eSIM, and is equipped with a C1X modem, just like the iPhone Air.
The device’s energy efficiency is impressive. Battery life is up to 10 hours when watching videos or browsing the internet via Wi-Fi and up to 9 hours when using a mobile network. The device charges to 50% in just half an hour from a 60W or higher power adapter.

M5 Processor
The M5 chip expands the boundaries of what a gadget can do and delivers revolutionary speed for performing tasks. Its key features include:
- improved energy efficiency;
- optimized artificial intelligence performance;
- increased graphics and multithreading performance;
- increased overall computing power of the device.
AI performance has reached a whole new level: Apple Intelligence is integrated into everyday applications and runs 3.5 times faster than on the M4 chip, and 5.6 times faster than on the M1. The 16-core Neural Engine complements the neural accelerators in the processors, significantly increasing the speed of AI tasks.
For example, creating images with AI in Draw Things is now twice as fast as on the previous generation processor. And the gadget spends 2.3 times less time scaling video with AI in DaVinci Resolve. Ray-traced 3D rendering can be done 1.5 times faster, and video transcoding in Final Cut Pro is 1.2 times faster.
So, there have been major updates in terms of power. The graphics and multi-threaded performance of the 10-core CPU and GPU with a neural accelerator in each core exceeds the capabilities of the previous generation chip by 20-30%. Memory bandwidth has increased to 153 GB/s.
These upgrades will be appreciated by programmers, designers, gamers, and people who work with photos and videos. The new device boasts the capabilities of a professional laptop.
