The display is covered with a new version of Ceramic Shield 2, which is three times more scratch-resistant than its predecessor. The previous generation’s protective coating has been added to the back of the phone, as in the iPhone 17 Pro.
The iPhone Air is available in the following colors: Sky Blue, Light Gold, Cloud White, and Space Black. Among the new official accessories are translucent cases with MagSafe support in neutral shades.

The iPhone Air’s Super Retina XDR screen features ProMotion technology, which adapts the refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz. This ensures that all content on the screen is smooth. Other features:

Peak brightness reaches 3000 nits — the display shows the image perfectly in sunlight. In the iPhone 16, this figure was 2000 nits.
Camera Revolution
The iPhone Air features a 48 MP Fusion camera system. It combines the functionality of four lenses to ensure high-quality images at different focal lengths.
Photos also turn out well in the dark, thanks to the Quad-Pixel sensor. The telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom allows you to zoom in on objects twice without losing quality.
A revolutionary feature across the entire 2025 line is the Center Stage front camera with a resolution of up to 18 MP. What’s new:
- The square sensor allows you to take horizontal photos without turning the phone upside down.
- When taking selfies, artificial intelligence automatically widens the viewing angle so that everyone fits in the frame.
- Dual Capture mode allows you to record video simultaneously on the front and main cameras.
A new image processing pipeline has been developed for the iPhone Air. When taking photos, the system records depth data, and you can then convert the image into a portrait in the Photos app.

The Apple Silicon chipset with A19 Pro has made it possible to create the most energy-efficient smartphone in the brand’s history. The chip is similar to the model used in the iPhone 17 Pro, but instead of 6 GPU cores, it uses 5. The processor can handle professional applications and AAA games, while the body remains cool — reviews of the iPhone Air confirm this.
The N1 wireless chip supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread, improving the stability of AirDrop and Hotspot. The new C1X modem doubles the speed of mobile networks while reducing power consumption by 30%.
Battery and Optimization
The iPhone Air’s battery life is quite good — the phone can last for about 27 hours in video playback mode. For comparison, the iPhone 17 lasts about 30 hours. No SIM Slot
The iPhone Air replaces the SIM slot with the more common eSIM. If you haven’t used this technology yet, now is the time to switch to this format: it’s safer, the connection is smoother, and the choice of operators is more flexible.
