Apple never ceases to amaze. At the traditional spring presentation, held this year on May 7, the company unveiled its latest products. Sit back as we discuss the top products that made quite a buzz.
iPad Air: Powerful Processor, Large Screen
This product from the Air lineup received an enlarged display and is now available in two sizes for the first time – 11 and 13 inches. Previously, the larger screen size was only available in the Pro lineup! Now, there’s no need to pay extra for the excessive features of the Pro if your goal is medium-intensity work or gaming, studying, and entertainment.
The front ultra-wide 12 MP camera is now located on the long side of the iPad’s body – perfect for comfortable use in landscape orientation. This is particularly useful during video calls or when a keyboard is connected. The main camera also has 12 MP, allowing for high-quality photos and videos.
The new iPad Air is equipped with the powerful M2 chip – the same as the last generation of iPad Pro. Compared to the previous iPad Air model with the M1 (introduced two years ago), the new model’s power has increased by 50%. It’s also three times faster than its predecessor with the A12 Bionic chip! All applications now open instantly, and switching between them happens without any delays, as if you’re just flipping the pages of a book.
In addition to its impressive internals, the iPad also boasts a stylish new design with four new colors. Touch ID is located in the lock button, and there’s a USB-C port for charging and connections.
It also features excellent battery life, fast Wi-Fi, and ultra-fast 5G – everything to keep you connected.
The base version of the iPad Air offers 128 GB of storage, which is double that of previous models. Configurations with 512 GB and 1 TB are also available.
iPad Pro: The Thinnest Tablet in History with Ultra Retina XDR OLED Display
Apple also introduced the iPad Pro with the latest M4 processor, built on second-generation 3-nm technology. It boasts up to 10 CPU cores and 10 GPU cores. The company claims a 50% increase in power compared to the previous version! Despite this, the new processor consumes significantly less energy for the same tasks.
Thanks to the next-generation GPU and the powerful Neural Engine, the new iPad Pro is an incredibly capable device for artificial intelligence: the M4 chip can perform 39 trillion operations per second!
The iPad Pro is not only powerful but also the thinnest gadget in Apple’s history. The thickness is only 5.3 mm for the 13-inch model and 5.1 mm for the 11-inch model. It sets a new standard for portability and performance!
Another revolutionary change is the new Ultra Retina XDR OLED display. For the first time in the iPad lineup, Apple used a unique technology that combines two OLED screens working independently (Tandem OLED Display). The device’s maximum brightness is 1600 nits for HDR content viewing. The refresh rate varies from 10 to 120 Hz.
The body of the new iPad Pro is made from recycled aluminum. Available colors are silver and “Cosmic Black.” Like the iPad Air, the updated 12 MP camera is relocated to the long side for horizontal use.
Four memory variants are available: 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB, 2 TB.
Apple Pencil Pro with New Features and Built-in Gyroscope
The updated Apple Pencil sets a new standard for styluses. The Apple Pencil Pro responds to your touch: a light squeeze is enough to open the control settings panel.
The signature stylus from Apple also received a gyroscope for the first time. It allows for changing the positioning of objects in a project. An integrated vibration motor signals when objects are perfectly aligned. The pencil feels like it understands you instantly!
Another innovation is the “Find my” feature. Now you can track your Apple Pencil Pro on a map. However, unlike iPhones or AirPods, the stylus won’t emit a sound signal. It charges, connects, and is stored using magnets on the side of the iPad.
And of course, it retains all the features we love about the Apple Pencil – pixel-perfect precision, no lag, tilt support, and palm rejection. You can effortlessly bring your ideas to life in the app.
Magic Keyboard and Smart Folio Case
Designed specifically for the new iPad Pro, they come in two colors matching the tablet shades: black and white. Both feature an aluminum palm rest for comfortable work.
The updated trackpad with haptic feedback is similar to the one found in MacBooks. The keyboard also includes new functional keys for brightness and volume control.
The Magic Keyboard attaches magnetically, and the Smart Connector instantly connects power and data without Bluetooth.
The Smart Folio cover attaches to the iPad Pro with magnets and supports multiple angles for maximum flexibility.
The new products will soon be available in iSpace stores. The official price in Georgia is yet to be announced: follow us on Instagram to not miss the pre-order start!
