On October 28, Apple introduced a product that fans around the world have been waiting for — the first MacBook Pro with a touch OLED display. macOS has been adapted for touch input, and the hinge has been reinforced to keep the notebook stable when you touch the screen. The new model runs on the powerful M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. Apple has also brought back the glowing Apple logo on the lid, a much-loved MacBook feature that was available until 2016.
You will be able to buy the new MacBook Pro with an OLED display at iSpace as soon as sales begin. To be among the first to learn about pre-orders, follow us on social media or join the iSpace Community.
What’s New in MacBook Pro with Tandem OLED
Apple has completely redesigned MacBook Pro. It is now thinner, lighter, and more versatile. The 14.2-inch model weighs just 1.36 kg, which is 227 grams lighter than the previous generation. The larger 16.3-inch version weighs 1.81 kg, making it 318 grams lighter.
The display bezels are around 0.5 mm thinner, and Apple has added an interactive Dynamic Island at the top of the screen.
The biggest update is the new PROLED XDR display. For the first time, you can control MacBook Pro not only with the keyboard and trackpad but also with touch. You can zoom with gestures, move objects between windows, and scroll through pages with simple swipes.
To make the display more responsive, Apple built the touch layer directly into the OLED panel. The hinge was also reinforced to prevent the screen from moving when touched.
Touch control opens up new ways to work with professional apps. For example, in Pixelmator Pro you can draw directly on an image, while in Logic Pro you can play virtual instruments right on the display.
Another standout design feature is the return of the glowing Apple logo on the lid.
MacBook Pro 2026 Performance
The new MacBook Pro is powered by the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips introduced earlier in 2026.
Interestingly, Apple also announced the MacBook Pro with M6 on October 27, but that model does not feature the touch OLED display.

MacBook Pro PROLED XDR Display Design and Display
The new MacBook Pro is available in two finishes: Space Black and Silver.
The familiar Liquid Retina XDR display has been replaced by PROLED XDR. The key change is the move from mini-LED backlighting to a Tandem OLED panel, the same technology used in the latest iPad Pro models.
The display supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Creative professionals will appreciate support for both P3 and Adobe RGB color spaces.
Two display options are available: a standard display and a nano-texture display that helps reduce glare.
