- Memory bandwidth. The base configuration provides up to 614GB/s of unified memory bandwidth. The higher-end version delivers up to 1.2TB/s, which is twice the bandwidth of its predecessor.
- AI performance. AI performance with the M5 Max is up to 3.9 times higher compared with the previous generation. At peak performance, the M5 Ultra is up to 4.3 times faster than the M3 Ultra and up to 9.8 times faster than the M1 Ultra.
The new chips expand the computing capabilities of the desktop workstation. The computer supports macOS 27 Golden Gate with Apple Intelligence features. At the time of the announcement, Siri AI was still in testing.
